- While visiting the DRC on a purchasing trip this year, John
was introduced to a Church community center in the Katuba
region of Lubumbashi, known as the Centre Reveil. It is a
center which is run by the church and the larger community
with the aim of assisting those in need. One of our close
friends there assists the center on a regular basis, and when
he heard of what we do in Kaoma, Zambia, decided to show John
the center, in the hopes of getting us to help in some
way. |

| A tour of the
premises is all it took. The need for funds, food, clothing,
bedding and beds was immediately apparent. The center houses
widows, elderly people, street kids, orphans, physically
handicapped people and 5 families of displaced child soldiers.
It houses the most needy and assists those that can live in
the community with food, clothing and other needs. Most of the
people assisted are victims of war - Children abandoned due to
war, child soldiers, amputees, and widows. Few of the orphans
have lost their parents to aids. |

| We know pictures
tell a lot, but traveling in the DRC with a camera is a
dangerous affair, especially during the elections. John was
warned not to bring one so as not to invite any trouble. We do
not have any pictures of the center but are hoping to get some
sent to us by our friends there. We do have letters and
paperwork which one can view below. |

didn't need any coaxing in offering assistance to the Centre
Reveil. We have decided to add the Center Reveil to our
ongoing project of giving back. We encourage all of our
customers to assist us in any way they can. Your donation

make a difference! |
