Army roadblock close to the borders of Angola. Joseph really wanted his picture taken with me.

An enterprising young man who dressed up in a costume so I would buy it and some fiber masks he made. How could I say no! Near the borders of the Dem Rep of Congo.

On the road to Lukulu. Enjoyed a chat and drink on side of the road.

A market place only for women to sell their arts and crafts. Great idea! On the way back to Lusaka. Did some great buying of colorful baskets, weavings, batiks and decorated bowls.

Two carvers working with ebony wood. A very hard wood to work with. These guys produced amazing carvings. Eastern Zambia, close to the borders of Malawi.

Kenneth Moy, an artist friend and painter in Lusaka. We purchase and sell his items on a regular basis. He is very talented creating "traditional" as well as colorful blends of the modern. Has done some personal work for us which we have hanging in our homes.
