GIVING
BACK! |
|
| During
our regular
trips to the African continent, we have
come to experience Africa in all her beauty, mystery, warmth, culture,
and pride. We have entered her mukanda camps, dined
with her chiefs and village elders, slept in her mud
huts and bathed in her rivers. She also laid bare her
tragic side, poverty, aids, illness and war. She
leaves behind orphans, widows and victims with serious
injuries. We came into contact with local community organizations, that have
undertaken the difficult and thankless task of alleviating
some of the pain and misery in their surroundings. It
is these local organizations in need of assistance
that drew us into action. Africa has given so much to us, it was only natural
that we give back. |

|
|
|
| The
two main organizations we assist are the Kaoma Chesire
community center in Zambia for aids orphans and our newly
discovered
Centre de Reveil in Lubumbashi, DRC, for war orphans, child
soldiers, victims
and widows. |
|
| We
collect donations in the form of used (or new) clothing for
all ages, shoes, bedding, blankets, etc. We ship the donated items
to these organizations on a regular basis. Any assistance
small or large would be greatly appreciated. |
|
| We
invite you to read more on each community organization, how we
got involved with them and how you can help. |
